R’Club Summer Learning Prevention Program

Students enrolled in our summer programs that attended “Title 1” schools during the 2011-2012 school year are taking part in a program to counteract the learning loss that occurs during the summer break. This project is a cooperative effort with United Way Tampa Bay.  Each child is provided a workbook based on the grade just completed. Students work in their workbook each day for approximately 30 minutes. Group leaders monitor the children, provide assistance and encouragement.

At the start of our summer program each participating student is given a short pretest, a second test was administered at the mid point in the summer and a final post test will administered at the end of summer.

The data collected will help us access the effectiveness of the program
